WFC building DII/DI teams (Information)

WFC U14-19 Boys and Girls Fall Informational Sheet

Starting the fall of 2015, WFC will combine players from several cities and schools to form the strongest teams of 16 (plus alternates) to compete in the DII or DI level state league. Teams that participate in the league will have a season consisting of 8 league games, and 2-3 showcase tournaments. As a member of the Alabama Soccer Association, the WFC league teams will now be seeking to win the state championship. The players for these teams will be evaluated and paired up to facilitate the 50% rule. We will still establish competitive teams with players not chosen to be on the select teams.

Why WFC:

* We want to bring players together under one neutral name
* We care about player progression and have the support structure in place to be successful
* Program lead by a well qualified Director of Coaches
* We are engaging with several high school coaches
* Willing to merge other club coaches to ensure the best qualified
* Players will be educated about college recruitment
* Players will have individual recruiting brochures

Advantage:

* Best players in the area teamed up and working together
* Able to play at a higher level and draw attention
* State league can lead to state championship
* Scouting opportunities increased
* High school players develop as a core
* Play top teams like Huntsville, Vestavia, Mobile, FC Torjager, Auburn, Trussville, Daphne, Birmingham and Opelika. (Last season teams)

Registration fees will be used to pay for US Club and state (players in the league) card/insurance fees, website management fees as well as other expenses and fees to operate the organization. This includes allowing WFC to purchase soccer nets, field supplies, training supplies and equipment, fliers, banners, signs, ads, paper, and printing supplies.

Evaluations: See registration tab for current dates and times.

What will it cost to play for WFC in the fall?

Players will order the new uniforms directly from the WFC’s page on Eurosport/Soccer.com through the “Player Pass” program. Once you are registered and put on a team, your coach or team manager will provide you with your player number and put into the WFC soccer.com system. Soccer.com will send an email to you with a direct link to order your uniform.
Required uniform items for each player includes: 2 jerseys (one navy, one silver), 1 navy shorts, and 1 set of socks (shown below) $64.38 (youth sizes) and $68.93 (adult sizes).

Practice dri-fit T-shirts (grey, navy or yellow with logo,) are also available to purchase on our uniform site under optional items. Any items a player purchases on the SOCCER.COM site still earns the player Goal Club Points and also give the club the same Goal Club Points!
