NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Hidden Valley Youth Sports relies on volunteers for head coaches, assistant coaches, and team parents. No experience is required as our program coordinators have the knowledge and resources to help you through the season. If it's crossed your mind to get involved, please do. Don't wait for someone else to step up.
How do I sign up to coach?
The first step to becoming a coach is to register an account with the HVYSA website. If you are registering your child for a sport at the same time, you should set them up as a participant first.
If you already have an account, you may access the registration page by clicking “Login”.
Please note that your registration to be a head coach is only an application. The sport’s coordinator will contact you regarding your status and information to get your background screening and coaching badge issued by Roanoke County Parks & Recreation.
Questions? Contact Hidden Valley Youth Sports at [email protected].
*More Information on Background Screenings
Teams cannot start practicing until the coach(es) has been screened by Roanoke County Parks and Recreation and issued a coaching badge. Coaches contact information will be submitted to Roanoke County Parks and Recreation for background screening. Once the screening is complete, the coach will be notified by the sport’s coordinator to pick up their coaching credential badge.
Please note that your coaching credential badge only confirms that you’ve been approved to coach and be on the court. Your sport’s coordinator will assign you to a team if your application has been accepted.
